A Little Bit About Me.
I have been a big fan of cars, trucks and rock 'n roll for as long as I can remember. Getting into the trucking world seemed to be a natural progression of my enthusiasm and after travelling the roads of Europe by truck I have now spent many years as a Heavy Goods (LGV) driving instructor, enjoying the challenge of helping others get into the world of trucking and own 'Priestley LGV' with my lovely husband Les - The Handsome Hunk!!
In my spare time, I return to my other passion of Hot Rods and 1960's American cars and and also help to organise the hugely popular 'Low Brow Art' event, Kustom Kulture Blastoff which takes place in Spalding every September.
I very much enjoy art in varying forms and love to spend time painting landscapes and wildlife and enjoy exhibiting my paintings.
I am also co-organiser of 'Lady Truck Drivers UK'- our own very popular club for lady truck drivers and founder of 'International Lady Truck Drivers Association'.
Apart from being involved with things on wheels, I am also qualified as an aromatherapist, masseuse and beautician after enrolling for 'something completely different' at night school some years ago - should I ever fancy a change from trucking!
Having led such a full and varied life, I began writing some years ago, using my own experiences for inspiration. These scribblings started to take shape into my first book, Mothertrucker - Starting Out, which many people have enjoyed. Many readers contacted me to insist that I write more about the adventures and misadventures of our intrepid lady trucker, so Mothertrucker - Driving On followed quickly onto the bookshelves.
Much to my surprise I received more emails and letters asking for a third book in the series so Mothertrucker - Journeys End started to take shape. This third and final story is now and print and proving to be just as popular as the first two stories.
I am always delighted to hear from any of you who have read Mothertrucker Books and look forward to your comments.
MotherTruckers - Our TV programme now has a huge following and I have loved every minute of taking part in this fun story of Lady Truck Drivers.
